Improving Engine Efficiency with DEF Sending Unit Sensors
Due to regulatory compliance, SRC systems are required for some equipment to reduce pollution into the environment. Control sender unit sensors are essential to the SCR system and the long-term health of your engine by ensuring your SCR system is functioning correctly during its enhanced computation process, all while meeting environmental and regulatory compliance.

CNH Reman Industry-Leading Remanufacturing Process
Our remanufacturing process for DEF Sending Unit Sensors involves a series of meticulous steps to ensure high-quality and reliable products. This process begins with core inspections where Def sending unit sensors are carefully evaluated to determine their suitability for remanufacturing. Next comes pre-testing where the cores are assessed for functionality and potential issues.
After pre-testing, the selected cores undergo disassembly, where each component is carefully taken apart. The disassembled parts then go through a cleaning process to remove any contaminants or debris. Once cleaned, the parts are carefully inspected again to ensure quality and integrity.
During the circuit board repair stage, any faulty components are repaired or replaced to restore proper functionality. Following repairs, the components are reassembled and the def sending unit sensors are put back together. The final assembled units then undergo rigorous testing to ensure they meet the required specifications and function properly.
Innovation in Remanufacturing
CNH Remans remanufacturing process is distinct from reconditioning or salvaging. Reconditioning may involve minimal repairs to bring a component to working conditions where remanufacturing goes beyond that. Our process involves disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and testing each sensor to meet or exceed OEM standards. The goal is to produce DEF sensor unit sensors that perform like new, with reliability and durability equivalent to new components.
Salvaging, on the other hand, invoices taking used components as they are , without inspection or repair, and reusing them in their current condition. This approach may not guarantee the same level of quality, performance, or longevity as remanufactured sensors.
What is diesel exhaust fluid, and why is it important for my tractor?
Diesel Exhaust Fluid is a solution made from a mixture of urea and deionized water, used in diesel engines equipped with a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system. DEF reduces harmful emissions and improves environmental performance.
In agriculture and construction equipment equipped with SCR systems, an optimized combustion process in the engine provided by DEF reduces the NOx emissions and provides improved fuel economy and efficiency, saving money while preventing the formation of deposits and corrosive elements in the engine,
reducing wear, and minimizing downtime.
What causes the DEF Sending Unit Sensor to fail?
Contamination, such as dirt and debris or def crystallization and wear and tear over time, can lead to the mechanism becoming stuck, damaged, or misaligned. Inadequate quality fuel and contamination can result in chemical reactions with DEF fluid causing damage to the sending unit sensor, interfering with reading, or resulting in failure. Wear and corrosion can be accelerated due to the harsh environment's equipment operating in extreme temperatures, vibrations, and moisture.
Reducing Emissions for a Greener Future:
Providing cleaner air and reducing the carbon footprint is essential to the future, which can be achieved through emission control. Emission Standards of Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) regulation mandates the use of SCR systems in vehicles by setting limits on the amount of nitrogen oxide emission that vehicles can release into the environment. NOx emissions limits were also set to protect public health and our farms. NOx contributes to greenhouse gas formation, which traps in the atmosphere leading to climate change such as global warming and increasing harmful pollution in the air. When it rains NOx can combine with the moisture and form nitric acid rain which can result in lower crop yield due to its harmful effects.
